All we hear from those that favor an uncontrolled and open southern border is two things.  First, that we cannot round up and deport 12 million illegals.  Second, that we cannot build a 2000 mile fence to keep anyone out.   Considering that China built a huge stone wall aprox 1400 miles long through country far worse than that on our southern border and that was done around 2000 years ago, I find it strange that the greatest and most modern nation on this earth cannot build a simple fence.  Or so the proponents of amnesty say.  Do the people of this country really believe that?   The Great Wall of China has been declared one of the greatest wonders in history.  And why was it built?  Not to keep the Chinese population in, but to protect its citizens from outside peoples.  To control the border that presented the greatest threat to its country and its culture.  And it worked, for many generations.

We need to tell our politicians now and continuously that they serve at the pleasure of the people.  And that they need to secure our borders now!  Our president has refused to do his duty to his people and still does so by not enforcing our current laws.  No wonder they dont work.  If those who are supposed to protect us do not enforce laws then they will not work.  Enforce the laws we have now and build the fence.  Not just 300 miles...not just 700 miles...but the entire length of our southern border.  We cannot wait another 2 or 3 years for the politicians to do the job that should have been done years ago.  And we cannot wait for them to come up with other false reasons why 12 or 20 or more million illegals should be legalized   We need to bring our army home from Europe and put it to protect our borders while the fence is being built.  And then to man the fence along with the border patrol  How about using our army for once to actually protect our own soil and our own people.

But I am ashamed to think that this nation cannot or will not build a lowly fence.  But its not that we cannot.  It is because our leaders have another agenda and its not to protect this nation or its citizens. And apparently they believe the people of this country are too stupid to see it. I think it is time to end the cronyism and the profesional politician class.  Its time for term limits for the congress and senate as well as the state legislatures.  Its time for the people of this country to take back its government from the elites and big business and for our government to be again a citizen government, by, and for the people. 

I have written many times here on Townhall both in response to many of the columnists but also on my blog here. I have intensely followed the debate on immigration and debated it myself. I have written, faxed, emailed and called my senators and the White House. And it seems that even with all of that and the many of our country's citizens who are doing the same, fighting to keep our country and the American culture and traditions alive, it seems that our government still will not listen to the citizens of the USA.

  I quote from our own Declaration of Independence:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

Is our government representing the will of the greatest number of the citizens of this country or that of big business and other special interests just its self interest in a naked power grab for the votes of the current illegals in this country?  

It is beginning to seem that those in our government, with a few rare exceptions, do not and will not listen to this country's people.

I am a conservative.  No longer do I consider myself a member of the republican party.  As far as I am concerned, the party has abandoned its conservative base, as has our president.  I can only state that I believe that we need to form a new political party.  One perhaps called the Conservative party.  To represent the interests of the conservatives of this country.  To represent the interests of those who believe in the dream that was and can be again, the country of our fathers. 

This is what we need to work toward.   I hope and pray that  we can succeed!

 

  Once again the elitists in our nations capital have rejected the voice of a majority of its citizens by voting yes on cloture to bring this disaster of an immigration bill to the floor of the Senate.  And it matters not what the people of this country feel about it.  We have been shown once again that we do not matter.  That our concerns mean less than spit to the elitists who currently are in charge.  What has happened to this great nation? 

  And this bill will pass now.   It started in closed door session and it will end in closed door session in committee after all amendments have been considered.  But even though they made some changes its still the same bill that the Senate approved last year.  It gives amnesty to 12 to 20 million illegals in this country and up to 40 million more in the next 20 years.  It will change this country permanently.  And not for the better. 

  People, you had better wake up.  Your and yours children's heritage is being handed over to the globalists and the elitists in charge are laughing at you.  They consider those of us who listen to talk radio stupid and uneducated.  
And they laugh at you.  Look at what happened this morning with the cloture vote.  The majority of the people of this country do not want this bill.  Yet they voted yes on cloture in spite of what the citizens of this country are saying. 

  WAKE UP!!!!   WE NEED TO TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY!!

We are supposed to accept these illegals and defend them because after all, they are only coming here because they want to improve their life.
Story TIME:

I woke up this morning to a knock on my door.  Outside stood a ragged man with his wife and children.  "Mester farmer, I am here to improve my life."  he told me, "You have 5 acres of land over there that would be perfect for a small farm for me and my family".  He then said, "We are going to move onto that land and farm it and provide for my family""  So he moves onto my land.  Builds a shack for himself and family and begins planting.  Next day, another shack goes up as his brother moves onto that land.  Then more shacks as, one after another his extended family moves to join him. 

After a week or two, I get another knock on my door.  There stands the same man, though not as ragged now.
"Mester farmer", said he, "I have too many people now on my small piece of land, and you have plenty, so we are going to take some more of your land so we can provide a better life for ourselves."  He continued, "And since you have such nice buildings for animals and plenty of room, we are going to use them as well"  So it continues, more shacks, more people, more land gone each day as the man moves more of his family and now his friends and neighbors from the old country are joining him.

Then one day I get another knock on my door.  I open it to find the same man standing there again, but now he is dressed as well as I am, in fact better.  "Mister farmer," he said, as he lit a cigar, "You have such a nice house and I live in such a poor one, and since I am now the patron of so many of my people who have come here to better their life, it is not seemly that I live in such a poor house."  He continued, "So my wife and children and I are going to move into your house and you may have my poor home."   He said then, "It is only fair since I am here trying to better my life and you have had so much more than I and my people for so long."

So, my family and I moved into a little shack on what was once my farm.  Complaints to my government did no good.  I was simply told that these were hard working people, doing jobs that Americans will not do and that they are only here because they want to better their life.  I tried to point out that my life has gotten far worse as a result of them bettering theirs.  I was told to shut up.  "Your government knows what is best for you" "Besides, to object to them bettering themselves at your expense is racist." 

"END OF CHAPTER ONE"

This is what our government is trying to hand us.  They should know better.  But they will learn. 

Why are our politicians rushing to destroy our culture?  And yes, even our country as it even today?

The beginnings of our country was as a result of an arrogant ruler refusing to listen to his subjects and forcing them to pay taxes on a basic commodity.  A tax that was only paid by those of his subjects on this continent.  A tax that was forced on the people of these colonies.  A spark that was the beginnings of this great nation was the Boston Tea Party.  I will not go into a description of it, but suffice to say it was the result of rumblings that grew into a revolution that threw off the shackles of a government that had grown arrogant and had stopped listening to its citizens, the common man.

I am hearing rumbling now.  The refusal of our leaders to listen to a large percentage of the citizens.  The arrogance of a president claiming those that put him into power and oppose his bill do not know or understand the situation and do not have the welfare of the nation at heart.  A government that seems to care more for those that have broken our laws than its citizens.  Politicians who have ceased representing those who elected them to do so.  A so called representative government that has ceased to represent the interests of the majority of its citizens and instead representing the interests of a big business and a group that has broken the laws of this country. 

That is the stuff of which revolutions are born.

It has happened once before after the birth of our nation.  When a large part of this nation felt that its interests and people were not being fairly treated, the Civil War was born and tore this nation asunder.  Could such a thing happen again?  I believe it could.  There are rumblings and the talk and the anger is growing. All that is needed is a spark.  A spark that will flame the tinder which is the growing anger and frustration of many of the citizens of this great nation.  Citizens who feel threatened by the growing loss of their culture and national identity. 

This nation was founded upon immigration, yes.  But after its birth, that immigration was controlled.  The people who came were assimilated into our culture which took the best parts of the cultures of the immigrants for its own.  But that is not happening now.  The millions who are here illegally are not assimilating.  They are NOT "doing jobs that Americans won't".  Instead they are a burden on our welfare system.  A burden on our schools.  They pay no taxes.  Yet they expect the same privileges as legal citizens.  They broke our laws by coming here.  They break our laws each day that they stay.  They break our laws by working here.  And we, as citizens, are being told by our "Representatives", that this does not matter.  That we should just forget it.  That we should just forget that the sudden influx of more illegals and increased immigration which will ultimately change or destroy our own unique culture.  That the America that we knew yesterday and today will cease to exist in a very few years.  We are supposed to sit idle and accept this. 

This the stuff of which revolutions are born.

Do you still doubt that there could be another "Tea Party" and the resulting conflagration? 

I don't!  If our politicians continue in the course in which they have been traveling, then it could very well happen. When and how, I do not know.  But I do believe that it is a very real danger for our country.  One that we can ill afford with the current "War on Terrorism".  

We can only hope that Washington comes to its senses.  Let us pray that it does.

 That seems to be the prevalent refrain by those in favor of the  current immigration bill being hammered through the Senate.   This is their attempt to shut down discussion and dissent.   This claim, in its various forms and implications has been spouted by supporters on both sides of the isle.  I find it interesting that suddenly my family and I are racists.  One, because my great-grandparents on both sides were immigrants, though they legally came to this country.  My son-in-laws family actually became citizens due to the 1986 Amnesty bill.  My daughter-in-law's family originally became citizens of this country when Texas became a state.  And I have 2 grandchildren of Hispanic blood.  And I love them dearly.   Yet not only am I against giving amnesty to 12 million illegals ot whatever place of origin, so are most members of my family, including those that are Hispanic. 

Because this bill will be a disaster for our country, our way of life and our safety.  It will solve nothing but create a multitude of problems. 

Yet the pundits and supporters of this amnesty all claim that those on the right who are against giving amnesty are racists and are for rounding up and deporting all 12 million illegals which is as far from the truth as could be possible.  Few if any want the illegals rounded up and deported in mass.  What most of us on the right want is our borders secured and sanctions taken against the employers who hire illegals.  Once those things happen, then we can discuss the 12 million illegals who are here.  But amnesty is out of the question.  To allow those who have broken our laws to be rewarded for their lawbreaking is to flout the rule of law.  It happened with the 1986 Amnesty bill, which Ted Kennedy said would be the last and only amnesty ever asked of this country.  He lied!

Once the borders are secured and sanctions are enforced against employers of illegals, the illegal problem in this country will, in large part, solve itself over time.  If they cannot find work, they will have no choice but to return to their own country.  Even if it takes 10 years or more years, if there is not longer the influx of illegals, then the problem will be solved without any "Comprehensive Reform" that allows lawbreakers to be rewarded for their crimes. 

Secure the borders.  Enforce the laws against those who employ illegals. 

Oh, and least I forget.  No welfare benefits, no free schooling, no food stamps, no free medical care except in the case of life or death.   And if an illegal is picked up by police...well...deportation.  If an illegal shows up for medical care....well...deportation.   If an illegal shows up for welfare benefits....well....deportation.  The problem will solve itself.

It is deplorable that at this point in time that 31 people have died at Virginia Tech as a result of the shooting spree by what is reported as one lone gunman.  Why didn't the college warn the students 2 hours earlier after the first shooting spree?  The "lone gunman" had time to go ALL THE WAY across the campus and catch students in classrooms.  The school should have been locked down hours earlier. 

I also find it hard to believe how the news media is pushing the report that the gunman was an "Asian" man in his 20's.   From the numbers killed and the amount of ammunition that the gunman had, that this was preplanned and that there might have been more than one gunman.  It has been reported on Fox News that the shooter in the the engineering classroom building at the second shooting scene had chained all the exterior doors.  That alone shows alot of foresight and planning along with the amount of ammo that was apparently used and carried by the shooter.  Yet the government and reporters are bending over backwards to avoid labeling this an act of terrorism.  Especially Islamic terrorism. 

The school has just confirmed that the shooter at Norris Hall who was killed by authorities carried no identification.  I find this hard to believe that this was NOT an act of terrorism at this point.    Carrying little or no ID would be typical of terrorists planning or when conducting a terrorist attack.  They cannot at this time connect the single shooter to both shootings at the campus. 

So watch the dance by authorities and the media as they try to deny this was an Islamic terrorist act. 

My heart goes out to the parents and family of those killed and wounded today.

The liberal PC watchdogs have been at it again.  Now they have taken out one of their own.  Or at least he thought he was one of theirs.  But he did not toe the party liberal line and was not a "yes" man to their doggerel.  So he had to go.  And as they tried with Ann Coulter, they succeeded with Imus.  I was not a fan of Imus.   He was a shock jock and was too abrasive for my tastes in talk radio.  And he made a mistake.  But who did he offend?  It has been brought up by several radio hosts that no one bothered to check with the girls basketball team to see if they actually were offended before organizing the witchhunt to destroy Imus.

Now the usual PC crowd is wanting everyone in talk radio to adhere to a "handbook" of prohibited words.  Who is the arbitrator of this "handbook"?  Well, Jesse "Himietown" Jackson for one.  Has he ever apologised to the Jewish communtiy in New York for his slur?  Of course not.  Only conservatives need do that.  And the target of the "prohibited speech handbook" is of course, conservative talk radio. 

This campaign against Imus and previously Ann Coulter, is of course, the opening salvo in the liberal campaign to silence conservative talk radio and of course free speech.   To take away free discussion of the issues affecting our country and only allow what liberals consider important and liberal viewpoints. 

So watch out folks!

The citizens of this country are getting what they voted for in the last election.  House democrats have voted for our country's defeat in Iraq, just as they were instrumental in our humiliation and defeat in Vietnam.  Now, all that our enemy has to do is wait.   They have to do nothing else!  Just wait and next year they will have achieved success. The liberals in this country have handed them victory.  And this is what you who voted them in have also achiOeved.  Rightfully angry with the republicans in office, you decided you were going to teach those guys a lesson.  You were warned by many that this would happen.  And it has.

So now what?  And note...the deadline for defeat is set just before the next national election.  So that no matter what, they achieve their aims.  Let us hope that our president does what is needed and veto's this vile piece of legislation.  But then he defunds our troops.  And this is also the hope of the liberals.  They do not support our troops despite their protestations to the opposite.  Their contempt for our troops is just as real as during the Vietnam war when they spit on and threw various other vile substances on our troops arriving back in this country.

Our returning troops in that conflict received nothing but contempt and denigration.  Soldiers arriving in airports were spit upon, had paint and worse thrown on them.  I myself, had white paint smeared on the back of my uniform after I arrived at the old Stapleton airport in Denver as did many other soldiers.  And the same liberals...at the very least, the same liberal ideals and beliefs are held by those currently in the majority in Washington. 

Are we once again going to go down in defeat?   Defeat brought on by contempt for our country, contempt for our military, and contempt for conservatives.  I am saddened that it may happen.  And I am saddened and dismayed at what might become of our country.  The country that I served and sacrificed to protect.  We are on the verge of loosing everything we hold dear. Wake up America!

Dear Mr. President,

I am entering the twilight of my life.  I grew up in a country that I loved from as early as I can remember.  I was taught to fish, to hunt, to love the outdoors by my maternal grandparents and to love and respect the small town traditions and western culture of our home state of Colorado.  My father taught me to respect our laws and those who were charged with their enforcement.  He also taught me to respect and honor our military and those who served, which included my father himself.  He served our country for 27 long years in the Air Force.  My grandfather had two ships sunk beneath him in WWI while serving in our Navy.  I joined the army right out of high school and served for 11 years.  My greatgrandfather was a scout in the US Cavalry.  His father served during the civil war fighting for the north.   Our family has served in our military since we came to this country as immigrants from Europe.  

Now it seems that the traditions and culture of the America I grew up in and remember are being sacrificed.  Sacrificed on the alter of Multi-culturism for one.  Where every culture but our own American culture, history and traditions,  must be respected and retained, while our history is re-written and our traditions forcebly changed.  Where is the respect for my family's traditions and culture?  I am told, my sons are told in school, to celebrate traditions and holidays that were never a part of the country I grew up in.   Times change, yes, but you do not destroy the traditions of a country unless you mean to destroy the country. 

We are in a war for the very life of our country.  We face an enemy whose stated goal is the destruction of our country.  The destruction of our way of life.   The destruction of our very lives.  Yet because of political correctness we are not even allowed to offically name our enemies.  We are not allowed to recognise and ferret out those enemies that are here now, within our borders.  We search little old ladies waiting to board our planes rather than just those that fit the model of those that would do us harm.  All in the name of multi-culturism and political correctness. 

And last, we have a southern border that is a joke where security is concerned.   You could have protected our country by securing the border.  You didnt!  Instead you tried passing what was laughably called "Comprehensive" Immigration Reform.  Which amounted to nothing more than giving a pass to easy citizenship of millions of illegals who have flouted our laws.  You stated that these illegals were "doing jobs" that legal americans wouldnt do.  That is an exageration of monumental preportions.  The recent immigration raids on meat processors in this state shows that.     Even before reopening, the processors were deluged with job applications from LEGAL Americans wanting work.   Americans will do any work needed, but at fair wages.  Not the very low wages that illegals are willing to take though.

Yet you, Mr President, and those who think like you, are wanting to leave our borders open, to allow many millions of criminals, and that is what these illegal "immigrants" are, to have a fast track to citizenship simply because they are here.  What does that say to those immigrants who came here legally.  Many who waited years for a chance to come here. What does that say to them?  What does that say to those who have yet to arrive?  It says that its better to break our laws then to obey them. 

And how do you plan to protect our country when our borders are wide open?  When those whose duty is to try to protect our border are arrested and imprisoned for doing their job.

I dont have that many years left in my life.  I am glad that I will likely not live to see what my country will become.   But my sons will be here.  And their families.  And I fear for them.  I have taught them the traditions that I grew up with.  Two of my sons will soon be serving in the military.  I would hope that their service is not wasted.  If our country falls, then the lives spent protecting our country have been wasted.   Wasted because of multi-culturism and political correctness and the failure of those in government entrusted with enforcement of our laws and the protection of its citizens.  The failure of those to enforce our laws.  To protect the citizens of our country.  And just today I heard the representative of a socalled "Immigrant Rights Council" spouting about the "rights" of "illegal Immigrants".  What rights?  They are not citizens, they have NO rights in our country.  They broke our laws coming here.  But once again.  Multi-culturism and political correctness trumps common sense and enforcement.

I love my country.  And I will love it to the day I die.  But I am ashamed of what our country is becoming.  Ashamed of what it is today.  And you should be ashamed as well, Mr President.  Because you have, by your inaction, as well as your actions, been a part of what it has and is becoming.  And the Democrats are no better.   Someone up there in Washington had better start thinking about the legal citizens of this country or we are not going to be the America that most of us remember for very long.  

I knew liberals hated conservatives and conservatism, but I was not aware of how deep and hard this hatred was until I begarn looking and liberal posts and messages on blogs throughout the net including verbal messages left on a message line to Hannity of Fox News.  But I was nothing short of astounded at the verbal abuse and vitriol directed towards those of us who are conservatives.  Both verbal and written, much of it consisted of hatred of conservatism laced with 4 letter and worse words.  Review of conservative sites and blogs show little of the same directed towards liberals.  Not that there isnt any, but there is no comparison in numbers and show of hatred.  

As a result, I have come to the conclusion that there is no meeting ground or meeting of minds between conservatives and liberals.  The depth of the liberal hatred is too deep.   It also shows in their inability to govern.  Witness the current liberal majority in both houses and their inability to accomplish anything other than their directed hatred towards conservatives and President Bush and the war and our military.

I do believe, that in 2008, we need to totally return congress to conservatives.  I do not mean just a small majority.  I mean a total takeover as close to 100 percent as possible.   By our votes this can be possible.
Liberals need to be taken out of government.  Their standards of conduct and life are based on nothing more than emotionalism and little, if any, logical thought.   We are in a war for our life and our country.  Liberals would turn our country over to our enemy.   And though I have been a long time supporter of our president, I believe that his conduct regarding secureing our borders, and especially our southern border has been reprehensible.   Our borders need to be locked down tight, and with a physical fence or a wall.  And if that is not possible, enough of our military placed there to do the job until a fence can be built.  With shoot to kill orders against anyone attempting to illegally cross.  

Regardless, our county is in deep trouble right now.  With the liberals in control of congress and with our president moving to the center and with the current state of the war on terror.  We could lose this war and I do not mean the war in Iraq.  I mean the war to keep our country and way of life alive.

I wish! Two simple words that we hear and we say from childhood. As children we would wish for a certain toy or other gift on our birthday or at Christmas. Or sometimes for a better grade when we knew we hadn't done as well as we should in school. As we got older we would wish that a certain girl would look our way or a certain boy would show interest. All wishes appropriate for our age and our time and our maturity.

Now, as an adult, especially one well past my prime, my wishes are for things appropriate form my age and time of course. But they are also wishes of, and for, better times in our country and our world. But wishes are like dreams. They seldom come true, and as we grow into adulthood we learn that real life lesson. But we still wish, and we still dream. And let us all hope that we can all continue to wish for needs and wants other than just being able to live one more day.

My wishes? Why, for nothing more than to live another day. To see our leaders actually lead by them realizing that they were put there to represent their countrymen. Not for special interest groups, not to push an agenda, especially one that might bring harm to their country our their countrymen.

Another wish is that we would see soon an end to the war on terror. That our country would be made safe. That our borders would be secured. That something would be actually done about illegal immigration. That those coming here would realize that they are coming to a country more than willing to take them. With people that would open their hearts and homes to them. But that they come here legally. That they become part and parcel of what is America. They become Americans. That they become part of the American Culture. That they assimilate. That they join what is good with their roots with what is good about this country. I wish!

But as it stands, my wishes, like all wishes, will likely never come true. Not unless there is a profound change in this country. Unless the celebration of multi[culturism, the open borders, our leaders representing only their own interests, or our own people forgetting who we are and were, all ends. Unless we all remember what it is to be an American. Unless we remember what we were and can be again. Unless we start remember our roots and our history. Unless we remember that we stood as one in times past and as we stood in the days following 911. Unless we remember, and find ourselves as Americans again, my wishes, my dreams, will be as dust. And this country will fall!

I wish!

The Crhistmas season has rolled around again.  And the proponents of multi-culturism and and anti-religion zelots are at it again.  At one time in this country we could celebrate our Christmas traditions without being branded insensitive or called religious fundamentalists or any other of a number of anti-conservative and anti-religion slurs.  And Crhistmas is a long standing tradition in this country and the way that we have traditionally celebrated it.  Yes, it has changed somewhat over the years since the founding of our country.  It became comercialised and embraced by the business world since it was the most profitable season for businesses.  But it was still Christmas.  And we were free to celebrate it or not as we pleased.  If you were of a religion that did not celebrate it, that was ok.  You could ignore the celebrations or just join in, all the while retaining your own holiday traditions. 

   But nowadays, we are supposed to embrace multi-culturism and be "sensitive" to the traditions of other cultures and totally seperate our government offices from any hint of religion and celebration of Christmas.   In other words we are supposed to abandon the traditions of our country so as not to insult or upset those in this country of other religions or the athiests who believe in nothing.  We are expected to do thiis even though around 80 percent or more of the people in this country profess to be of one christian religion or another and who celebrate and have celebrated Christmas for generations.  We are now expected to give up our traditions as being of less imprtance and celetrate the traditions and/or beliefs of others so as to be "sensitive" to these other beliefs. 

  So now, even in the business world, the celebration of our traditional christmas is disappearing.  Its now the "Holiday Season" rather than the "Christmas Season".  Any hint of tradtional or religious conotations has to be removed from public display on government property.  The liberals have demanded that even our schools and children cannot celebrate Christmas.  It is the "holidays".  And the celebration of the holiday season in other countries is what is of importance and is what must be studied and celebrated in our schools.  Any and all hints of the traditional American Christmas must be removed.  And most especially any hint of Christian religious celebration of Christmas.  Other religions and their celebrations and traditions is allowed of course. 

  At first it was the removal of the manger scene from public view.  Then the removal of the colored lights and only display of the white lights.  Now christmas trees even are under attack and must be removed or only displayed on private property.  Where is our country?  Why is it that other countries or other cultures traditions must be more important than our own?
Political correctness has gone made in this country.  It is going too far, it has gone too far for a long time now.  And it must end. Our American culture is what is important.  Our American traditions are what is important. Why should I or my children be forced to celebrate the traditions and holidays of other countries.  They are not our tradtions.  It is time to end this multi-culturism and political correctness that is destroying America as we have known it and as it should be.  We are Americans.  You can celebrate our traditions and holidays or not, as you please.  But you have no right to force the rest of us to stop celebrating our traditions and holidays.  You have no right to destory our traditional celebration of Christmas just because you think that we should be "sensitive" to yours. 

  So I am calling for the end to "political correctness" and the celebration of "multiculturism"   This is America and we WILL celebrate our American tradtions and holidays.  You are welcome to join in or not.  But the rest of us, which is the majority of those in this country, will celebrate.  And you will not say whether we can or not.

So to all of you, I say..."" M E R R Y    C H R I S T M A S ""

  I had taken a break from posting on my blog here.  My reasons were varied, but were mainly for 2 main reasons I believe.
1st, I was and am, disgusted with the results of the recent election.  As a result, I was, for a short time anyway, discouraged by the re-emergence of the left to power in this country. 2nd, I was tired.  Tired of worrying about the various topics upon which I have posted thiese past months.  Generally called burnout.  I needed to devote my energies to home, family and everyday life.
So I did.

  And it was worth it.  I have been spending more time with my family, even traveling to visit and enjoy Thanksgiving with my brother and his family.  That, all to short trip, by itself, did much to revitalize me.   What else?
Well, I did more work in my workshop.  Several projects I had begun and not finished, I finished.  A couple of picture frames intended for a friend, I finished and presented to him.   I was quite  proud of my work.  I  might post a link in the near future to some examples of my work.  For frames, they are pretty unique, in my humble opinion.

  So I am rested, revitalized and ready to continue the battle to now, reestablish conservative values in this country.  The continue the fight against liberalisim and the damage that liberals have inflicted on our country.  To fight for laws and the physical means to finally bring to an end, illegal immigration.  To fight multi-culturalism and restore our American traditions.
I am back.

As it stands now, the Democrats have regained control of both the House and the Senate, Donald Rumsfeld is gone and Bush is making friendly googoo eyes at the new congress.   And if you could go by the reaction of our friends, neighbors, not so good friends, and our enemies, good times are here again.

But are they?   Of course, it does seem strange that a change in our government can have our enemies applauding those soon to take charge.  Enemies dedicated to destroying our country and way of life.   And Fox of Mexico is also applauding the change.  Of course, he can now be confident that those 18 million illegals now in the US wont be flooding the roads back to Mexico to make trouble for him and that he can continue to flood the US with his unwanted poor to work here and send badly needed dollars back to Mexico. 
Our so-called friends like France, Germany, and others are also applauding the concience of our country for making this change as well.  Because it will now be business as usual again, with them being able to claim to support us while making business deals and making billions under the table with our enemies.

Why would such a change in our government make everyone else, including our deadly enemies so happy as well.  Because it will be good for our nation?  How can it forbode good for our country when our deadliest enemies are applauding the recent elections?

I now fear fear for our nation more than I have ever before.  I hope, with every ounce of my being, that we survive the next two years intact, without another major attack on our country, and that our troops in this war in Iraq and the larger war on terror continue to be supported and fully funded.  I hope!  And hope that in two years our nation comes to its senses and decides once again to vote in conservatism and conservative principles in our government.

I hope, but fear that we may not get that chance.
